This internship taught me how to learn new things on my own. It is very innovative program.

Firstly, I would thank IIT Bombay for making me a part of such an ambitious project. Scilab from otherwise being an open source software, is a great programming tool. It is easy to learn and it bears resemblance to Matlab, which makes it even more fun. I learnt Scilab through various write-ups and pdfs available on the internet. I had a great learning experience and I believe the knowledge gained through this internship would help me in my future projects as well.

I learnt Scilab from the resources provided by the Scilab website,the resources are very helpful to learn the Scilab. Video lectures are very good. I benifited from the internship, and learnt programming skills. Thank you for providing this opportunity.

Scilab was the first simulation software which I started to learn. It was during my 3rd semester engineering. Initially there were very less resources for me to start so I tried a lot to get into the stream. 'Introduction to Scilab' by Dr. Satish Annigeri was really helpful. Many posts and links mentioned in scilab.in was indeed essential in my learning process. Finally, I learnt many opensource software including Scilab in a systematic way by referring to Spoken Tutorials. The important benefit was the confidence of working on any simulation software as I had learnt Scilab from scratch. Besides this, I had stepped myself early into the opensource community which was really a motivation for me. By this internship, I got some contacts and tremendous guidance from IITB faculty and M.Tech students and I got the monetary benefit from this internship which was also helpful during my engineering study.

I have learned Scilab from the various materials available on internet. I have benefited very much from Scilab coding as this is a new language. I feel privileged to work on a language which is totally new and has lot of scope in near future for the students to work and research with.
