Scilab GUIVerse Hackathon Submission Guidelines

Submission Guidelines

To ensure a smooth evaluation process, every participant must submit the following components as part of their final project.


1. Source Code

  • Complete Scilab source code (.sce and/or .sci files).
  • Include all files required to run the application, including dependencies.
  • ​Organize the project in a clear and well-structured folder hierarchy.

2. README / Documentation

Provide a README or documentation containing:

  • Project Title
  • Project Description
  • Software Requirements
  • Toolboxes Used (if any)
  • ​Steps to Run the Application
  • Brief Explanation of the GUI and its Features
  • References (if applicable)

3. Demo Video (Maximum 2 Minutes)

Record a short video demonstrating:

  • The problem your application addresses
  • A walkthrough of the GUI
  • ​Key features and functionality
  • Sample execution of the application

Note: The video should clearly demonstrate the working of your application and must not exceed 2 minutes.


4. Problem Statement (Maximum 2 Pages)

Submit a concise document describing:

  • The problem being addressed
  • The objective of the application
  • ​The intended users or use case

5. GUI Screenshots

Include clear screenshots showcasing:

  • Main Interface
  • Important GUI Components
  • ​Different Application Screens (if applicable)

6. Sample Outputs / Results

Provide representative outputs or results generated by your application.
